Since May 2024, Google Search in the United States has shown AI Overviews (a generated summary above the results, when Google judges it useful) and, since March 5, 2025, it has offered AI Mode, a fully conversational search powered by Gemini. Qwant: the French engine that added a Chat AI
The independent French engine now shows a “Chat AI” and “Flash Answers” on its homepage.
