2. General terms of use of the site and services offered.
Use of this site implies full and complete acceptance of the general terms of use described below. These terms of use may be modified or supplemented at any time; site users are therefore invited to consult them regularly. This site is updated regularly. Similarly, the legal notice may be modified at any time: it is nevertheless binding on the user, who is invited to refer to it as often as possible to stay informed.
Specific additional conditions are also available within the applications on this site, in the help menu of each application.
3. Description of services provided.
The purpose of the nation.ai website is to share content, opinions, and news on general topics. This information is as accurate as possible; however, the editor cannot be held responsible for omissions, inaccuracies, or deficiencies in updates, whether caused by itself or by third-party partners providing this information. All information provided is for indicative purposes only and is subject to change.
Furthermore, the information is not exhaustive. It is provided subject to any changes that may have been made since it was posted online.
4. Contractual limitations on technical data.
The site uses JavaScript technology. It cannot be held responsible for material damage related to its use. Additionally, the user agrees to access the site using recent equipment that does not contain viruses and with an up-to-date, latest-generation browser.
The goal is to provide a service that ensures the best accessibility rate. The host ensures service continuity 24 hours a day, every day of the year. It nevertheless reserves the right to interrupt the hosting service for the shortest possible periods, notably for maintenance, infrastructure improvement, infrastructure failure, or if the services and performance generate traffic deemed abnormal.
UPLIKE and the host cannot be held responsible in the event of a malfunction of the Internet network, Internet and telephone lines, or computer and telephony equipment, particularly related to network congestion preventing access to the server.
5. Intellectual property and counterfeiting.
The nation.ai site constitutes an intellectual work protected by the provisions of the Intellectual Property Code and applicable International Regulations. The Site user may not in any way reuse, transfer, or exploit for their own account all or part of the elements or works of the site.
UPLIKE owns the intellectual property rights or holds the usage rights for all elements accessible on the site, including text, images, graphics, logos, icons, sounds, and software.
Any reproduction, representation, modification, publication, or adaptation of all or part of the site’s elements, regardless of the means or process used, is prohibited without prior written authorization from UPLIKE.
Any unauthorized exploitation of the site or any of the elements it contains will be considered an infringement and prosecuted in accordance with the provisions of Articles L.335-2 and following of the Intellectual Property Code.
6. Limitations of liability.
UPLIKE cannot be held responsible for direct or indirect damage caused to the user’s equipment when accessing the nation.ai site, resulting either from the use of equipment that does not meet the specifications indicated in point 4, or from the appearance of a bug or incompatibility.
UPLIKE also cannot be held responsible for indirect damages (such as loss of market or loss of opportunity) resulting from the use of the site.
Interactive spaces (possibility to ask questions in the contact area) are available to users. UPLIKE reserves the right to delete, without prior notice, any content posted in this space that violates applicable French legislation, particularly provisions relating to data protection. If necessary, UPLIKE also reserves the right to hold the user civilly and/or criminally liable, particularly in the case of messages of a racist, insulting, defamatory, or pornographic nature, regardless of the medium used (text, photography, etc.).
7. Management of personal data.
In France, personal data is notably protected by Law No. 78-87 of January 6, 1978, Law No. 2004-801 of August 6, 2004, Article L. 226-13 of the Penal Code, and the European Directive of October 24, 1995.
During the use of the nation.ai site, the following may be collected: the URL of the links through which the user accessed the site, the user’s access provider, and the user’s Internet Protocol (IP) address.
In any event, UPLIKE only collects personal information relating to the user for the purpose of certain services offered by the nation.ai site. The user provides this information with full knowledge of the facts, particularly when they enter it themselves. At that time, the site user is informed whether providing this information is mandatory or not.
In accordance with the provisions of Articles 38 and following of Law 78-17 of January 6, 1978, relating to information technology, files, and freedoms, every user has a right of access, rectification, and opposition to personal data concerning them, by making a written and signed request, accompanied by a copy of an identity document with the holder’s signature, specifying the address to which the response should be sent.
No personal information of the nation.ai site user is published without the user’s knowledge, nor is it exchanged, transferred, assigned, or sold on any medium to third parties.
Only the hypothetical buyout of UPLIKE and its rights would allow the transmission of said information to the potential purchaser, who would in turn be bound by the same obligation to store and modify data regarding the site user.
The site is not declared to the CNIL because it does not collect personal information.
Databases are protected by the provisions of the law of July 1, 1998, transposing Directive 96/9 of March 11, 1996, relating to the legal protection of databases.
8. Partnerships.
The website may participate in partnership programs. This is an affiliate arrangement designed to allow sites to earn compensation based on the creation of links to external sites.
9. Hypertext links and cookies.
The nation.ai site contains a number of hypertext links to other sites, set up with the authorization of UPLIKE. However, UPLIKE does not have the ability to verify the content of the sites visited and will therefore assume no responsibility for them.
